New Carthago C1-Tourer Edition+I motorhomes

The Carthago C1-Tourer Edition+ I is a fully integrated A-Class motorhome, offered on either the Fiat Ducato or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base vehicles. It ranges in length depending on chassis, with a technical permissible laden weight. One of its distinguishing physical features is its inhabitation width, which adds more space than many standard A-Class models. The Edition+ I model comes with what Carthago calls “Premium DNA”, for example, a double-floor storage space, their cab visibility concept, and numerous comfort and build-quality elements standard.

Inside, the C1-Tourer Edition+ I uses the 149 RB-LE layout, offering a spacious, one-level floor-through living area. The living space includes a large L-shaped lounge seating area with ergonomic upholstery, “lift-up” side bench seats, and features like a 32″ LED TV with a Quick-Up pull-out system located behind a side seat backrest. The kitchen is well appointed: it has a comfort corner configuration, a large work surface that even curves around to the bathroom wall, six large drawers, a separate waste bin area, overhead storage with vertical wave design, a 153 L fridge that opens from both sides, and a three-ring hob with divided glass cover and cast-iron trivet. The bathroom is luxurious, with a comfort luxury layout including a changing room and room partitioning options, a one-level (step-free) shower access, mirrored cabinets, a large wash basin, and solid luxury doors.

Sleeping, equipment & value proposition

For sleeping, the Edition+ I offers extra-large beds including lengthwise single beds. These beds are made more accessible via lift functions, under-bed wardrobe storage, and there is also a sleeping extension option between the beds, with additional mattress and cushioning. Quality is emphasised: features include a 7-zone cold foam mattress with breathable climate quilting and flexibly supported wooden slats. Standard equipment includes generous fresh water and waste water capacities, heating (Truma Combi 6, with optional Alde warm-water heating), and various lighting/ambient features.
